2026 ASPE San Diego Chapter 4 Changemakers Mastermind - Can You Spot the Mistakes Before They Become Change Orders, Claims, and Lost Profit?

Construction projects succeed or fail based on communication. Changemakers Mastermind brings together estimators, project managers, superintendents, company owners, contract administrators, and construction attorneys to break down silos, strengthen collaboration, and uncover the costly gaps that lead to missed scope, change orders, disputes, and profit erosion.
This is not a lecture—it is an interactive experience. Participants will be presented with a fictional commercial project planset containing intentional mistakes, omissions, inconsistencies, and scope gaps. Working together, attendees will have the opportunity to identify risks, challenge assumptions, and discuss how different disciplines approach plan review, estimating, project execution, and risk management.
Through real-world discussion and collaborative problem-solving, you'll gain insight into how each role views a project, learn where costly breakdowns commonly occur, and develop practical strategies to catch issues before they impact schedule, budget, and profitability.
Following the program, attendees are invited to continue the conversation during a networking reception with a no-host bar.
